Description

ELGA PURELAB Ultra Genetic Type I Ultrapure Water Polishing System
BROKEN - NEEDS REPAIR OF TUBE FITTING - USE FOR PARTS OR REPAIR

The ELGA PURELAB Ultra Genetic (often referred to as the "Genetic" model or GE) is a high-performance Type I ultrapure water polishing system designed specifically for sensitive life science applications. It is engineered to remove impurities like RNase, DNase, and endotoxins that can interfere with critical biological work.

Key Specifications & Performance
The system produces water with a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ-cm, ensuring the highest level of inorganic purity.
  • Flow Rate: Delivers up to 2.0 liters per minute.
  • Contaminant Removal: Effectively removes RNase, DNase, and reduces bacterial endotoxins to less than 0.001 EU/ml.
  • Organic Quality: Features real-time TOC (Total Organic Carbon) monitoring, updating every 2 seconds to ensure organic purity (typically 1–3 ppb).
  • Filtration: Utilizes an ultrafilter (UF) or ultra-microfilter to eliminate biological active impurities.
Core Features
  • PureSure® System: A twin-pack deionization process that uses an intermediate sensor to ensure trace elements are removed and provides an early warning before cartridges are fully exhausted.
  • Full Recirculation: Water is continuously recirculated through the purification technologies and all the way to the dispense point to maintain peak microbial purity.
  • Sanitization: Includes a fully automated sanitization regime for all internal wetted parts to guarantee long-term bacterial performance.
  • Data Validation: Offers PIN-coded access for security and an RS232 port (or USB on newer iterations) for downloading performance data to meet GLP/FDA requirements.

Targeted Applications
This polisher is ideal for laboratories performing:
  • DNA Sequencing and PCR
  • Molecular Biology and Cell Culture
  • Analytical Techniques: Such as ICP-MS, LC-MS, and HPLC.

Availability and Pricing
While this specific "Ultra" model has been largely succeeded by the PURELAB Chorus range, units and consumables are frequently available through specialized lab equipment retailers and marketplaces.

  • Refurbished/New Systems: Can range from approximately $2,495 at American Laboratory Trading to LabX.
  • Used/As-Is Units: Prices on platforms like eBay often range from $275 to $899, depending on condition and included accessories like remote controllers.
