  • The University of Idaho Surplus requires auction winners to set up an appointment to receive their winnings.
  • Property must be picked up 2 weeks from close of auction or $5 fee a week will be charged for storage.  
  • If item is not picked up after 4 weeks from close of auction, you forfeit the item, and it will be offered to the next highest bidder.  This time may be extended by contacting Surplus to make other arrangements.


Buyer acknowledges that all U.S. export control laws and regulations apply to the property purchased from the University, including the Export Administration Regulations of the U.S. Department of Commerce, which prohibit the export or re-export of products and technology to certain countries and persons.
Buyer agrees to comply strictly with all U.S. export laws, regulations, orders, and assume sole responsibility for obtaining any required licenses to export or re-export products or technology.

Payment for an awarded item MUST BE received within 5 business days of close of auction.

Buyer's Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

ALL sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from agencies premises within 5 business days or schedule pickup from notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.

Bid Deposits: University of Idaho may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.

Pick-up hours by appointment only. Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of item.
Successful bidder will be responsible for cost of packing and/or shipping of any item(s) if necessary.

University of Idaho will charge a sales tax of 6%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding on an item(s).
