PRESALE INSPECTION: Monday, December 12th
IN ORDER TO LIMIT INTERFACE WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT YOU USE A MASK/ FACE COVERING AT THE TIME OF REMOVAL OF THE ITEMS.
Pickup of items will be from December 16 - December 30 if an extension is needed made by previous arrangement.
**Offices will be closed December 26- December 27**
Contact for pick-up and removal will be added as the auction is ending. Please do not call listed contact or front office with questions about removal until after auction is ended.
- Winning Bidder has 5 days to pay and if payment is not received Garland can and will mark the buyer in default (forfeiting buyer's bid deposit- if any) and offer the vehicle to the next highest bidder.
- Buyer is solely responsible for loading and removing vehicle from lot.
- If the listed buyer chooses to send someone else to pick up their purchase, the purchaser must send a signed authorization to servicewriters@garlandtx.gov from the email on file with Public Surplus stating who may pick it up, a copy of the buyer's photo ID and the Public Surplus Paid Receipt. (this includes tow companies and wrecker drivers.) The person picking the item up will also be required to have this information with them at time of pick-up.
- Paperwork must be picked up Monday-Friday only between 9 AM and 4 PM.

PayMac, LLC handles all payments for City of Garland. Payments must be received within 5 business days of close of auction. Items over $4,000 must be paid via Wire Transfer.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) within 5 business days of notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the agency will not release the item to you.
VEHICLES NOT PICKED UP WITHIN 5 DAYS OF PAYMENT WILL BE RE-LISTED, AND BUYER WILL LOSE THEIR DEPOSIT.
Bid Deposits: City of Garland may require a bid deposit to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.
Successful bidder is responsible for all packing and/or shipping costs. City of Garland will pack small items in a padded envelope at no charge. A pre-paid shipping label is acceptable for small items. For shipping arrangements, consider Pak Mail of Garland (972) 487-0260.
Sales tax of 8.25% will be collected for taxable items unless a valid TX sales tax exemption certificate is provided. Exempt Buyers should ask for sales tax to be removed prior to making payment.
Buyers Premium: An 8% Buyer Premium shall be added to the final sale price.
