Description

This is a custom-built Industrial Electrical and Process Control Trainer Board designed for educational and hands-on training purposes. It provides a tangible platform for students and technicians to learn and practice fundamental concepts in electrical wiring, circuit design, control logic, and component integration, simulating elements found in real-world industrial and HVAC systems.

Key Features and Components

The system is comprised of three main interconnected panels, demonstrating a range of electrical and control elements:

panel focuses on the power side and real-world components, mounted on a baseboard:

  • Heater/Process Simulation: Features three cylindrical elements, likely simulating process heaters (e.g., fluid or air heating), each fitted with a metal band heater and what appears to be a small cooling fan, possibly for over-temperature protection or rapid cooling simulation.

  • Control Interface: Includes DIN rail-mounted components, specifically a multi-way terminal block and a large wire distribution block, which are standard in industrial control panels (ICPs). This allows students to practice professional wiring and termination techniques.

  • Solid-State Relay (SSR): A "Heater Relay" is visible, which would be used to switch the high-power heating elements using a low-voltage control signal, a core concept in automation.

This panel simulates a control logic interface, often found on the front of a machine or control cabinet:

  • Pushbuttons and Switches: Features an array of different colored and labeled pushbuttons (PB) and switches (PB-1, PB-2, etc.), which function as inputs to the control system (e.g., START/STOP, mode select).

  • Indicators/Lamps: Contains numerous black and red indicator points, likely representing LEDs or pilot lights, used to display the status of the control system (e.g., system running, fault condition, solenoid active).

  • Circuit Representation: Solenoid (SOL-A, SOL-B) labels indicate the control of basic output devices, while connections for CR (Control Relays) suggest a setup for practicing basic relay logic circuits.

panel handles the intermediate switching and logic implementation:

  • Relay Bank: Features three banks of plug-in relays (or similar switching devices) mounted on DIN rail sockets. These components translate control signals from the logic panel into the necessary switching actions to control the power components on Panel 1.

  • Interconnect Wiring: The multiple yellow and black wire bundles demonstrate how the operator controls, relays, and output devices are interconnected in a functional control system.

Condition Note: As a used training device, buyers should assume the components are functional for their intended educational purpose, but may have cosmetic wear typical of classroom equipment. It is sold as-is, and a basic understanding of electrical circuits is required for operation and experimentation.
