Description
That is a fantastic collection of industrial control components, primarily manufactured by Allen-Bradley (A-B). It is definitely not DIY computer parts, but rather high-quality, professional-grade electrical equipment used in automation, machinery, and industrial control panels.
Your box is a treasure trove for electricians, automation technicians, and maintenance professionals.
Auction Title
HUGE Allen-Bradley Industrial Controls Lot: Contactors, Relays, Time Delays, Motor Protector (NOS/NIB)
(NOS = New Old Stock; NIB = New In Box. Use this if the parts appear unused.)
This is an excellent lot of Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) industrial control components, sourced from a cleanout of an electrical shop. The components are primarily new in their original boxes or appear to be New Old Stock (NOS), perfect for maintenance, repair, or building new control panels and machinery automation systems.
These parts are essential for controlling and protecting motors, lighting, heating systems, and automated industrial processes.
1. Motor Protection and Starting (Bulletin 140)
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 140 Manual Motor Starter/Circuit Breaker (Cat. No. 140-MN-0250): This is a critical safety and control device.
Use: It combines the functions of a circuit breaker (for short-circuit protection) and an overload relay (for motor protection from excess current) into a single unit. The catalog number 140-MN-0250 indicates a current range of 1.6A - 2.5A, ideal for smaller industrial motors.
2. Power Switching (Contactors)
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100 Contactor (Cat. No. 100-C09J10): A contactor is a heavy-duty electrical switch used to open and close a circuit.
Use: It is used to remotely switch power on and off to large loads, most commonly electric motors. The label indicates it has 3 Main Poles (for 3-phase power) and 1 Normally Open Auxiliary Contact for control circuit feedback. It is rated for 24V/60Hz control voltage.
3. Timing and Sequencing (Bulletin 700 Pneumatic Timers)
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 700 Pneumatic Time Delay Attachments (Cat. Nos. 700-PT, 700-NT, and Type HT Relays): These mechanical time-delay units are robust and reliable for controlling the sequence of operations in a machine.
Use: They attach to control relays to add a precise, adjustable time delay (e.g., 0.2-60 seconds) to a circuit. They are used for tasks like ensuring a motor is up to speed before the next step begins, or delaying a start after a power-up.
4. Relays and Accessories (Bulletin 700 & 750)
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 700 Relay Accessories (e.g., Surge Suppressor 700-N24): Various relay accessories are present.
Use: Surge suppressors protect the sensitive control circuitry from voltage spikes when a relay coil is de-energized.
Allen-Bradley Surge Suppressor (Bulletin 750): Another type of surge protection.
Use: Provides protection for relay coils up to 150V Max, extending the life of the control equipment.
Contact Blocks/Auxiliary Contacts (Bulletin 1495, 700-CR9): Small contacts that attach to larger devices (relays, contactors).
Use: These add extra control contacts for interlocking, status indication, or complex control logic.
5. Specialized Devices
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 849A-ZOD24: This is a Timing Relay or Control Circuit Relay with specific control circuit ratings (115-125 Volts DC).
Use: Used in control panels where DC power is used for timing and control functions.
Allen-Bradley Blue Dashpot Fluid (X115989, 11-12 CC): This fluid is used in older style, highly accurate, and very rugged dashpot timing relays.
Use: This specialized silicone oil is used to dampen the movement of the plunger in an electromagnetic dashpot timer, ensuring precise and reliable time-delay operation regardless of temperature. This item is becoming increasingly rare and sought-after by those maintaining older industrial machinery.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a versatile inventory of high-quality, professional-grade industrial electrical controls at a substantial value.
