What does retract mean?   

The seller of an auction has the ability to close or "retract" an auction before the normal end date. Auctions should only be retracted if there is a legitimate reason for doing so, such as:

• The item being auctioned is no longer in the same condition as it was when it was put up for auction.
• The item, for unforeseeable reasons, is no longer available or cannot be sold.
