7.0 Tesla, 160mm Bore Actively Screened Magnet System
This is a 7 T superconducting magnet system horizontal bore, actively shielded, with a room temperature bore of nominally 160mm in diameter. The bore is 160mm without the ferroshim tube and 155mm with it. Please request the axial field spreadsheet if needed. The system is not energized and therefore is not operational. It weighs approximately 3,500 lbs. and stands alone on four legs without additional stabilizers. The system comes with some additional parts and a system manual as well as the operations log book.
(Metals inside the magnet system) – The mass of the magnet is in the coil set, which is wire and made from niobium-titanium alloy. The cryostat is made of aluminum and there is probably some stainless steel as well.
