Sale of all surplus property is, as is and where is, without warranty. We receive items from various UCSF departments and often the condition of items is unknown. Verifying the description and condition is the bidder's responsibility. All sales are final.

Item pickup & loading
Small items will be provided at a pickup counter. Large items will be loaded into trucks/vans using 2 docks with varying heights (box trucks, cargo vans, pickup trucks). For vehicles that cannot utilize docks for loading, Items will be placed in a loading area and must be loaded by the buyer. The buyer is responsible for the loading and securing of items. No assistance beyond dock loading will be available by Surplus staff.
Pick-Up Procedures
1. You must bring to the pick-up location (1) the "Notice of Award," (2) the "Paid Receipt" and (3) personal identification (such as a Driver's License). You must present all three identification items at the scheduled pick-up, or the auction item(s) will not be released to you.
2. If you are picking up an item for someone else, you will need to bring the Notice of Award and the Paid Receipt (photo copies are acceptable), plus a note from the designated "winning bidder" specifically naming you as authorized representative, along with your own personal identification. In addition, you must arrange for the winning bidder to send an e-mail from the winning bidder's e-mail address used for the auction stating that you are authorized to pick-up the item.
General Provisions:
1. The acceptance by UCSF of an offer to purchase any or all of the items described therein shall constitute a contract between the bidder and UCSF for each bid received. In event of default by the bidder, UCSF reserves the right to sell or otherwise dispose of the items through other means, and hold the bidder liable for any excess cost, lost revenues or expenses occasioned thereby.
2. The bidder guarantees to indemnify UCSF, its agents or employees, harmless from liability of any nature or kind in the sale of or bidder's use of the property.
3. Assumption of Liability: The purchaser shall assume all liability for the property after award is made. UCSF will exercise its usual care for protection up to the time of removal, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
4. Unless otherwise noted, all sale items are to be paid for within five (5) business days of award notice and be picked up and removed within three (3) business days after payment is received. UCSF reserves the right to award any item to a succeeding bidder, should highest bidder fail to pay for and remove from UCSF property within the prescribed time period contained herein.
5. If payment is remitted within five (5) business days but the surplus property is not picked up within ten (10) business days, UCSF reserves the right to dispose of the property in order to fulfill the debt. Any excess monies received by UCSF are deemed consideration for excess effort to dispose of the property.
6. No property may be removed by the purchaser prior to making full payment.
7. Buyer is responsible for paying the sales tax over the final sell price. Additional information may be required under certain circumstances including purchases in excess of $10,000. This additional information may include, but is not limited to, your taxpayer identification number (or social security number) and proof of identity.
8. No refunds or adjustments will be made on any award(s).
9. No service of any kind will be furnished by UCSF. The buyer shall assume any cost of weighing, packaging, crating, loading or hauling, shipping, and insurance.
10. A receipt will be signed by the bidder at the time property is picked up and any required identification or purchase information by law or policy must be provided.
11. Applicable Law and Courts: Any contract resulting from this solicitation shall be governed in all respects by the laws of California and any litigation with respect thereto shall be in California. The contractor shall comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
12. Information gathered is used for the purpose of conducting the auction sale and will not be used for any unrelated purpose. Personal information will not be released to any other party, except as required by law.
13. Default shall include (1) failure to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all vehicle(s) within the specified time. Default may result in termination of the bid contract and suspension from participation in all future sales until the default has been cured. If the Buyer fails in the performance of their obligations, UCSF may exercise such rights and may pursue such remedies as provided by law.

Rules of the Sale: All Items are sold As Is-Where Is. Descriptions of auction items have been compiled from available data, but there is no guarantee or warranty by UCSF Surplus as to condition or quality of surplus property. Again, we offer NO GUARANTEES, OR WARRANTIES. UCSF reserves the right to withdraw, remove and revoke at any time any items being offered. The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential.

Premium: A 10% Buyer Premium will be added to the
final sale price.
Notice of Award:
Successful bidders will receive a Notice of Award by email from PublicSurplus.com
Payment:
PayMac, a third-party payment processing company, receives all payments for the University of California, San Francisco. Payment is required within five (5) business days of Notice of Award date. Removal of property required within three (3) business days from date of payment. If payment is not remitted in five (5) business days, auction will automatically go to next bidder. No property may be removed prior to making full payment. Buyer is responsible for paying the sales tax over the final sell price. No refunds or adjustments will be made on any award(s). No service of any kind will be furnished by UCSF Surplus Services.
Payment may only be made online by credit card, or by wire transfer. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you choose to pay with a credit card, please follow the instructions below. The credit card limit per transaction is $4,000.00. For payments larger than this amount, follow the instructions listed under Wire Transfers.
Payment by Credit Card
Login to the Public Surplus site. Click on "My Stuff" and then click on "Past Bids". Click on the description of the auction and then click on "Pay Online" link located on the right hand side of the screen. Follow the steps to complete the transaction. A receipt will be emailed to you once the payment has cleared.
Partial Payment
There will be NO partial payments allowed for an auction. All auctions must be paid in full according to the specified payment process. For example, you WILL NOT be able to pay partially for an auction by Credit Card and pay the remainder by another payment method, such as a wire transfer.
Wire Transfers:
For payments over $4,000.00, a Wire Transfer is required. If you need to do a wire transfer, please email support at buyersupport@publicsurplus.com asking for wire instructions or request the instructions via live chat. These instructions will be emailed to you. Please follow them exactly to allow for prompt payment.
Vehicle Titles. University of California San Francisco will issue a title or certificate upon receipt of payment. Titles may be subject to any restrictions as indicated in the item description on the website. Open titles cannot be issued. University of California San Francisco will not issue replacement titles.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that the bidder has read, fully understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Online Sales, and agrees` to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted, by the dates and times specified.
