SURPLUS PROPERTY PROGRAM
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Buyers must be registered with Public Surplus to participate. Buyers must be of legal age to enter into a contract with the State of Montana, Property and Supply Bureau.
All property is offered "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" with no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, as to the properties condition for use. The State of Montana is not responsible for any omissions or errors in the descriptions and conditions. Items are available for inspection prior to the bidding and as the conditions and descriptions are subjective we recommend that the bidders inspect the property prior to bidding. Bidders must adhere to the inspection dates and times indicated in the item description or contact the person listed to schedule an inspection. ALL SALES ARE FINAL with no refunds or exchanges. The State of Montana reserves the right to reject any/or all bids and to withdraw an item at any time.
The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the State of Montana, Property and Supply Bureau and its employees for any and all damages, claims or liability for injuries to persons or property caused by the removal of equipment or items purchased.
Upon receipt of notice of award the successful bidder has five working days to pay by cash (U.S. currency), cashier's check, certified check or money order made payable to the State of Montana. Payment in full may be made in person or mailed to Property and Supply Bureau; 16 West Custer Ave., PO Box 200137, Helena, Montana 59620-0137. Upon receipt of payment, in full, the property will be released to the successful bidder. The successful bidder, after payment, will have 10 working days to remove the property from the listed location. Items will not be shipped by the State of Montana and are the responsibility of the bidder. Items that are paid for and not picked up per the Terms and Conditions will be assessed a late fee of 5% of the selling price per week until the item is picked up. The late fee must be paid to the State of Montana, Property and Supply Bureau before the property will be released.
The State of Montana will issue a Temporary Registration Permit, and a Bill of Sale. State of Montana residents will have titles mailed to their current county treasurer.
Out of state titles will be mailed or can be picked up with vehicle. The State of Montana will not issue replacement titles.
Out of State bidders can pay an additional charge of $8.00 for vehicle temporary registration permint. (40 day) if needed.
Bidders may be BLOCKED from participating in State of Montana, Property and Supply Bureau sales for failure to observe the Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that they have read, fully understand and accept the Terms and Conditions of Online Sales and agree to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted, by the dates and times specified.
