1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 4x4 – 5.0L V8 – Manual Transmission - 73K miles
This 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 4WD is equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine and manual transmission. Prior to listing, we had the truck undergo a full mechanical inspection (attached), along with substantial recent maintenance and service.
The truck runs and drives well. The manual transmission shifts great, and both factory fuel tanks are fully operational. We also had the factory R12 AC system converted to R134 by a local shop. The AC system performs great.
We were going to send this to a higher-end classic car auction site, but Public Surplus fees are significantly lower, so we decided to give it a go on this site with a healthy reserve. This is a special truck that runs and drives great.

Body & Exterior
The desert tan paint is in good shape, and the body is straight and clean for its age. The original finish gives buyers a good representation of how the truck has been maintained over the years. The body and chassis are rust-free. This truck has been in Southwest Colorado for its entire life.
The brand-new 31" Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires complement the truck nicely and give it a great stance.
Interior
The XLT Lariat interior is in great shape and is exceptionally clean for a truck of this age.
The dash, door panels, trim, seat belts, and other interior components remain original and in clean condition. The seat is protected by a newer seat cover. Overall, the interior has been well preserved and presents very well.
Odometer Reading & Vehicle History – Please Read
The odometer currently displays approximately 73,000 miles. Because of the vehicle's title history, we are not representing or guaranteeing the odometer reading as actual mileage, and bidders should carefully review the following information.
According to the information provided to us, this truck was a one-owner vehicle until the spring of 2026. It had reportedly been owned since new by a local ranch in the Durango area and was primarily used around the ranch. The previous owner reported that the approximately 73,000 miles showing on the odometer were the truck's original miles.
In the spring of 2026, a young woman acquired the truck from the ranch with plans to build it into an off-road/camper-style truck. Shortly afterward, she determined that the project was more than she wanted to undertake.
When transferring the title into her name, she states that she mistakenly selected the incorrect odometer declaration at the DMV. This resulted in a "Not Actual Mileage" notation in the title record. The title has subsequently been corrected and now reflects the mileage as "EXEMPT."
We have obtained a signed statement from the previous owner explaining the circumstances surrounding the odometer disclosure, and a copy of that statement has been included with this auction for bidders to review.
Based on the truck's reported ownership history, its overall original condition, wear, appearance, and the way it runs and drives, we believe the approximately 73,000-mile odometer reading is consistent with the history and condition of the truck. However, we cannot independently verify its actual mileage. Accordingly, the vehicle is being sold as mileage exempt, and no guarantee or warranty regarding actual mileage is made.
Prospective bidders should review the documentation provided and make their own determination regarding mileage.
Mechanical Condition
A full mechanical inspection was completed prior to listing. The truck has also received the maintenance and repairs listed above in preparation for sale.
The 5.0L V8 runs well, the manual transmission shifts great, both fuel tanks are operational, and the truck is equipped with four-wheel drive.
As with any vehicle of this age, prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the truck in person and satisfy themselves as to its condition prior to bidding.

Vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied.
Bidders are responsible for inspecting the vehicle prior to bidding. Bidding without inspecting the vehicle is strongly discouraged.
All sales are final. Buyer is responsible for pickup or transportation. Shipping is welcome, and we are happy to coordinate with the buyer's transporter for pickup.
TERMS
Out-of-state buyers do not pay sales tax. Colorado state residents will be required to pay an additional 2.9% sales tax. La Plata County, Colorado residents will be required to pay state and county tax for a total rate of 5.9%. This will be billed and collected independently of your Public Surplus invoice.

Vehicles selling for over $1000 must be paid in advance of pickup by wire, ACH, or mailed cashier's check. Credit card payments are not allowed over $1000.

Bid Deposits: Motors For Good may require bid deposits to ensure fairness to all buyers.
Payment. Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after the date of the Notice of Award of the successful bid. Payment must be made in one of the following ways:

Wire Transfer
Payment may only be made online by credit card, ACH transfer, or by wire transfer. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
Vehicle abandonment and storage. If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to pick up the vehicle within 10 business days, the agency will consider the vehicle abandoned and will (1) to retain all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item through another auction or otherwise. No refund will be given for vehicle abandonment. The agency, at its sole discretion, may elect to store the vehicle for up to 90 days at a private, secure location. The cost for this storage is $35 per day.
