Grand Traverse Metro Emergency Services Authority (GTMESA) is offering this 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LT for sale as surplus municipal property through Public Surplus.
This vehicle was previously used by the fire department in a support/command role and has been maintained in accordance with the Authority's fleet maintenance program. It is being sold as part of the department's fleet replacement schedule and is no longer required for operational use.
The vehicle is in fair overall condition for its age and mileage. The tires are in good condition, and maintenance records are available for review. The only known issue at the time of listing is that the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning light is illuminated. No other known mechanical issues have been identified.
Terms of Sale:
- Vehicle is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.
- The vehicle may exhibit normal wear consistent with its age and previous municipal fire service use, including scratches, dents, paint wear, drilled holes, equipment mounting holes, and adhesive residue from removed equipment or decals.
- Any emergency lighting, sirens, radios, warning devices, and other fire service equipment have been removed or disabled prior to sale unless otherwise noted.
- Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the vehicle before placing a bid. Inspection appointments may be arranged by contacting GTMESA.
- The successful bidder is responsible for all costs associated with transportation, title transfer, registration, licensing, and any repairs or modifications required to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- All sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or adjustments will be made after the close of the auction.
- GTMESA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or withdraw the vehicle from sale prior to the completion of the auction.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
Grand Traverse Metro Emergency Services Authority may charge sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
