Description

Condition:  EXCELLENT

Model / Description:Up for auction is a well-preserved Caterpillar Communications Adapter II (Comm II) Group, a vital diagnostic tool for anyone working with Cat equipment.

A Piece of Cat History: This unit was purchased in 2003, representing the workhorse generation of Caterpillar's electronic service tools before the Comm III was released. For mechanics, heavy equipment owners, and collectors, this is a solid, functional piece of genuine Cat tooling.

Condition Details:

  • Year Purchased: 2003

  • Cosmetic Condition:Great shape! The unit shows minimal wear and tear for its age, suggesting light use and careful storage. (Please refer to photos for detailed condition).

  • Function: The Communications Adapter II is designed to allow a PC loaded with Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) software to communicate with Cat Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) on engines and machines. It supports the necessary data links for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and configuring a wide range of Caterpillar equipment from that era and earlier.

Why bid on this unit?

  • Genuine CAT Tool: This is an original, trusted piece of diagnostic hardware, not an aftermarket clone.

  • Proven Reliability: The Comm II units are known for their durability and reliable performance in the field.

  • Ready for Work: A clean, well-maintained older unit is a valuable asset for shops servicing older Cat fleet equipment.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a legendary, high-quality CAT diagnostic adapter in fantastic condition!
