In this watercolor celebrating the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the Mormon pioneers to Utah, Texas artist Alma Laurie Whitehead blended vignettes of Utah’s most well-known people, places, and events, from its prehistory to the modern era. This work includes depictions of Utah’s ancient rock art, Eagle Gate, a pioneer family with a handcart, the first artificial heart transplant, the ICBM Minute Man Missile, LDS church buildings and leaders, Native Americans, a mountain man, dinosaurs, the Golden Spike, and more.

This piece has a few scratches on the frame, shown in the photos. Overall, the piece is in good condition.

PayMac handles "ALL PAYMENTS" for the Canyons School District. Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 business days of close of auction.
Canyons School District may charge sales tax. The buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
Buyers Premium: A 8.5% Buyer Premium shall be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 5 business days of notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.
Bid Deposits: The Canyons School District may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.
