When picking up items, please ensure you bring printed paper copies of the following:

  1. The Notice of Award
  2. Payment Receipt
  3. A valid state-issued photo identification

If the items are being collected by a third party (such as a shipping company), the following additional requirements apply:

  • The buyer must provide written authorization allowing the third party to take possession of the auction item(s).
  • The third party must present printed copies of all three documents listed above.
  • The third party must also present a printed copy of the buyer’s state-issued photo identification.

County of Siskiyou may require a bid deposit to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers.

PayMac, handles all payments for County of Siskiyou. Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.

County of Siskiyou will charge an applicable sales tax rate. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up or removal of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award unless otherwise mutually agreed upon in writing or noted within auction listing. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released. Failure to pick-up item(s) within timeframe may result in forfeiture of item.
