This is a 40.11-acre parcel located in the Caswell area to the east of the Parks Highway. There is no constructed access to this parcel. Legal access to the parcel could be via section line easement. Bidders need to verify the existence of an easement within a section line.
Cook Inlet Wetlands database has about 90% of this parcel in a lakebed wetland (go to the Lakebed Wetlands | Kenai Watershed Forum for more information).
The Borough was issued a Clerk's Deed to this property in 2011. It was first offered for sale in 2013, and again in 2016, 2018, and 2020. Per Alaska Statute, once ten years from the issuance of the Clerk's Deed have passed, the former record's owner right to repurchase is extinguished. The Borough does not guarantee clear title to this property.
